The most selfish person in the world is the person who says "I have enough to take care of my basic needs, and that's enough"
And yet, somehow we've been brainwashed to believe this is a Godly attitude to have.

If your kidneys stopped working - would they be doing your body a disservice? You bet they would be!

And when we compromise ourselves by giving up, or only doing "just enough" to build our lives, we're doing OUR body (the Body of Christ) and even greater disservice. We owe it to God, to ourselves, to our brothers and sisters, and to the whole community to "Be All We Can Be" as Christians - Children of God.
"In Christ we who are many form one body and each member belongs to all the others" (Rom 12:5)
The Bible says we're supposed to prosper so we can be a blessing to others when they need us.
1 Timothy 6:18 describes it as "ready to distribute, ready to communicate."

Do you desire to help others - to help your family - to even help yourself - in a greater way than ever before?

Proverbs 10:24 says "The desire of the righteous shall be granted"

James 4 describes what the wrong desires will produce: ."You lust and have not; you kill and desire to have, and cannot obtain. You fight and war, yet you have not, because you ask not. You ask and receive not, because you ask amiss that you may consume it upon your lusts."

We must have the Right kind of Desires. Godly desires.

If you have the Mind of Christ, you can cultivate Godly desires.
It's time to be transformed by the renewing of our minds.
Listen carefully - this is the KEY to everything that will follow!
Jesus said "Anyone who is willing to hear should listen and understand! And be sure to pay attention to what you hear. The more you do this, the more you will understand - and even more besides. To those who are open to my teaching, more understanding will be given. But to those who are not listening, even what they have will be taken away from them."

So hear this - we always reap what we sow. If we sow the right seeds, we'll get the right crop. We'll have a harvest that matches our desires.

IT'S ALWAYS OUR CHOICE, HOWEVER.

Deut 30:19 says "I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose LIFE, that both you and your seed may live"

It's a simple choice, and yet, plenty of people - (most people?) - choose death. Or at least, they choose the things that lead to death… because to be carnally minded IS death - but to be spiritually minded is LIFE.

We choose what we allow to enter into our hearts, by way of our eyes and ears and even the words we speak. Solomon said "Keep thy heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life."

We shape our thoughts and desires from the seed we plant within our souls (hearts).

"What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good? Keep thy tongue from evil and thy lips from speaking guile. Depart from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it. The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and His ears are open unto their cry."

See, my goal here is to pump you so full of TRUTH that the lies of the world, the lies of the devil, get pushed out, and your hearts and minds become one with the mind of Christ.
You will know the TRUTH…

So many times people quote from the fake Bible…
"The Lord helps those.." "Hell hath no fury…"
So when we bring up "controversial" topics like prosperity and success…
"Uh haw - now I gotcha! - Money is the root of all evil - I know dat one's in da bible - I heard it in Sunday school back in Selma United MethoBapterian"

But look closely… 1 Tim 6:10 says "For the LOVE of money is the root of all evil"
We can look around town and see the average Joe isn't prospering like he should, here in the richest country that man has ever known.
They're traveling with the HERD.
They're serving the mammon system - an ancient system of usery - credit and high interest debt that was around even in Jesus' day - when He told us it was impossible to serve both God and Mammon, because God's method of blessing and prosperity is different from the world's.

My Bible says to not be conformed to this world…

God says to you and I - "Choose Life!"
This is our method - our KEY to transformation.

3 John 1:2 says "I wish above all things that you would prosper and be in good health, even as your souls prosper"

"Let them shout for joy and be exceedingly glad, that favor my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, "Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant." (Ps 35:27)

So to get us started, we need to cultivate Godly desires. Desires for the abundant life God offers us today. All the gifts He's had ready for us - waiting - waiting for us to reach out for them in faith.

Desire to walk in His blessings. His peace. His provision.

"My God shall supply ALL your need accoring to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus"

Anyone who is willing to hear should listen and understand!
"Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart"
